The lounge chair 001 is a chair designed by Antti Nurmesniemi in 1967, and it is the first product in his -00 series.
The lounge chair 001, as well as the currently produced armchair 004, represent Antti Nurmesniemi's rational design approach and the timeless in their simplicity.
The lounge chair 001 and armchair 004 are key elements in the Nurmesniemi atelier home in Helsinki, featured in both black and white as well as red and white versions.
The chair's fabric was designed by Vuokko Nurmesniemi.
